My Dream of a Forest is inspired by a place I used to visit often when I lived in Providence, Rhode Island. It’s a spot in Blackstone Park, right next to the road, that somehow feels like a small forest dropped into the city. I’d go there a lot to relax or clear my head, and over time it became a kind of safe space for me.

The piece came from the idea of bringing that space indoors. Using binaural (3D) sound, I built an audio piece based on how I experienced that place. The sounds aren’t meant to imitate nature exactly, but to capture how it felt to be there. For a few minutes, the work turns a closed, industrial room into my version of that spot at Blackstone Park.
